Ordering a Terraria server from OCNetworks is quick and straightforward. This guide walks you through the entire process from selecting your plan to logging into your new server.

Before You Order

Before placing your order, consider these factors to choose the right plan for your needs:

Determining Your Requirements

• Number of Players: Estimate how many concurrent players you expect. Terraria officially supports 8 players, but our servers can handle up to 255 on higher tiers
• World Size: Small (4200x1200), Medium (6300x1800), or Large (8400x2400) - larger worlds require more RAM
• Server Location: Choose London (UK) for lowest ping to UK/European players
• Performance Needs: More RAM = smoother gameplay with multiple players and large worlds

Ordering Process

Step 1: Navigate to Terraria Hosting

1. Visit ocnetworks.co.uk/terraria
2. Review the available hosting plans
3. Click "Order Now" on your preferred plan

Step 2: Configure Your Server

On the order form, you'll be able to customize:

• Billing Cycle: Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annually, or Annually (save up to 15% with longer commitments)
• Server Location: London, UK (more locations coming soon)
• Server Name: Choose a memorable name for your server (you can change this later)
• Additional Options: Extra backup slots, priority support, etc.

Step 3: Review & Checkout

1. Review your order summary on the right side of the page
2. Apply any promotional codes if you have them
3. Agree to our Terms of Service
4. Click "Complete Order" to proceed to payment

Step 4: Account Creation (New Customers)

If you're a new customer, you'll create an account:

• Enter your email address
• Create a secure password
• Fill in your contact details (required for billing)
• Agree to the terms and privacy policy

Step 5: Payment

We accept multiple payment methods:

• Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, Amex (instant activation)

What You'll Receive

Your server credentials email includes:

• Panel URL: Direct link to access your server control panel
• Username: Your email address (same as your account email)
• Server Name: Your server identifier
• Server IP Address: The IP address players use to connect
• Server Port: Default is 7777 (can be customized)

Accessing Your Server Control Panel

Method 1: Direct Panel Login

1. Click the "Login to Panel" link in your welcome email
2. You'll be automatically authenticated via single sign-on (SSO)
3. Your Terraria server dashboard will open immediately

Method 2: Via Client Area

1. Log in to billing.ocnetworks.co.uk
2. Navigate to "Services" → "My Services"
3. Click on your Terraria server
4. Click the "Login to Panel" button

Initial Server Setup

Starting Your Server for the First Time

When you first access your panel:

1. The server will be offline initially
2. Click the blue "Start" button in the top-right corner
3. The server will install Terraria automatically (takes about 30-60 seconds)
4. A default world will be created on first startup
5. Your server is now ready to accept connections!

Finding Your Connection Details

To give players your server address:

• IP Address: Shown in the "Address" section of the console (e.g., 78.129.218.59:7784)
• Server Name: Displayed at the top of the panel
• Share these details with your players so they can connect

Connecting to Your Server

In-Game Connection

To connect from Terraria:

1. Launch Terraria
2. Click "Multiplayer" on the main menu
3. Click "Join via IP"
4. Enter your server IP address and port (e.g., 78.129.218.59:7784)
5. Click "Accept" to join

Billing & Renewals

Automatic Renewals

Your server will automatically renew based on your billing cycle:

• Renewal invoices are generated 7 days before expiry
• Payment is automatically attempted 24 hours before expiry
• You'll receive email notifications for upcoming renewals
• Servers remain active for 72 hours after expiry date before suspension

Upgrading Your Plan

Need more resources? Upgrading is seamless:

• Log in to your client area
• Navigate to your Terraria service
• Click "Upgrade/Downgrade Options"
• Select your new plan and complete payment
• Upgrade is applied instantly with prorated billing
